Red lentils are rich and earthy. These lentils cook down easily, and they absorb all the delicious flavours of what they're being cooked with.
Red lentils are a good source of iron, and very high in fibre.
Ingredients: Red lentils. May contain wheat.
- Rinse lentils under cold water.
- Place lentils in a large saucepan. Cover with at least 5cm of cold water. Season water with salt.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-25 minutes or until tender. Drain.
